The Kingshot Rally Handbook: Master Your March
Welcome, Commanders! In Kingshot, the rally is your most powerful weapon. It's more than just a big army; it's a team effort. Understanding your role—as the leader or a joiner—is the key to victory. This guide breaks down exactly how heroes, skills, and troops work together to create the perfect rally.
Section 1: The Rally Leader
The Rally Leader is the brain of the operation. You choose the target, the time, and the heroes. Your choices have the biggest impact on the rally’s power.
How You Contribute:
All Your Heroes' Skills Count: You are the only one who gets to use all the skills from your heroes. If you choose three heroes, all of their Expedition Skills—up to nine total—will boost the rally. This is why the leader's hero selection is so important.
Your Gear Matters: Your Hero Gear, Chief Gear, and Chief Charms directly add power to the rally. A strong leader with good gear makes the whole team stronger.
Your Troops Are the Base: The troops you send are the foundation of the rally's attack and defense. For a Bear Trap rally, a good mix is 10% Infantry, 10% Cavalry, and 80% Archers.
Your Best Heroes: Choose your strongest combat heroes. Pick heroes with high-level skills that boost the entire squad. Amadeus and Helga are excellent leaders because they give big buffs to the whole rally.
Section 2: The Rally Joiner
As a Rally Joiner, you provide extra troops and a critical hero buff. Your role is simple but very important.
How You Contribute:
One Skill, One Hero: Here's the most important rule: Only the first Expedition Skill of your first hero is used. All other hero skills from your march are ignored.
The Cap of Four: The rally can only use four of these skills from all the joiners. It automatically picks the four heroes with the highest-level first skills.
The "Lethality Hero" Rule: The best hero to send as a joiner is one with a first skill that gives a huge damage buff. Chenko and Yeonwoo are perfect examples. Their first skills increase lethality for everyone in the rally. They are "meta" heroes for this one job.
Sending the Wrong Hero: Sending the wrong hero can hurt the rally. A hero with a weak first skill, or one that gives a useless buff (like a defense buff for an attack rally), can take a spot from a better hero. This lowers the rally's total power.
Section 3: Heroes with AoE Skills
Some heroes are specialists at hitting many enemies at once. This is called Area of Effect (AoE) damage. They are very useful in both rallies and the Conquest game mode.
Helga: A top-tier AoE hero. Her attacks hit many enemies and can stun them. She is a great choice for clearing out large groups of enemies.
Jabel: Known for his "AoE bombs." He is a great free-to-play hero for area damage and crowd control.
Howard: A reliable free-to-play tank. He has AoE skills that help him clear enemies while he soaks up damage for the team.
Quinn: She is a single-target hero, but her AoE abilities are what make her a strong choice in Conquest mode, where she can hit multiple enemies at once.
Section 4: Summary for a Strong Rally
Know Your Role: If you are the leader, bring your best three heroes and gear. If you are a joiner, only your first hero's first skill matters.
Focus on Damage: For attack rallies, use heroes with skills that increase damage and lethality. Avoid sending heroes with defensive skills.
Monitor the Rally: Leaders should always check the "Rally Bonus" screen to see who is contributing. If you see a low-level or useless skill, you can ask that player to send a better hero.
Teamwork: A strong rally is about strategy, not just power. Working together and knowing these rules will make your rallies unstoppable.
